Pets are considered as man's companion; a loyal animal at your side that is unwavering, unflinching, and always at the ready to follow his master. Pets, of course, is a general title given to any animal that one may want to own. But would it really matter which animal you would have as a pet? In terms of food and the space it occupies maybe, yes. A pet ant wouldn't really be that exciting now would it? The most common house pets that you have are usually cats and dogs. Cats and dogs, of course, are definitely loyal pets, not to mention cute. Lots of things can help a person decide on what pet to have. There are even psychological studies that determine what type of person you are depending on what pet you choose to have. Since we're not psychologists here, let's not delve deeper into that. How about we discover the reasons as to why you should have some pets. 1. Have someone left at home when you're away. Having a guard dog at home would be a great idea depending on the breed of the dog you have, like say a pit bull, a German shepherd, a Doberman or even a boxer or a Rottweiler. Having pets like these could be a great advantage. These dogs, although cute and gentle in some way, could be very fierce to people that they don't know. You wouldn't want to be in a situation where a guard dog is running you down. Even the police have a K-9 force that employs the use of such fearsome dogs. Your home, as small or as big as it may be, would be a lot safer having a dog guard it for you. Leaving your home without anybody in it would be a bit risky. This would be like warm apple pie to those would be robbers out there. Practically everything would be left for the taking for these fiends. Security systems can be disabled, cameras fooled, but you can't take a good dog down so easily. The best thing about them too is that they're noisy, like barking hysterically noisy. This could help alert the neighbors to an intruder entering your home leading them to calling the authorities. The rest, of course, is history. Perhaps even the headlines the day after. 2. Having a good, loyal companion at home is something hard to find these days. There are reasons as to why dogs are called “man's best friend.” They are affectionate, adorable animals that would always stay loyal to you never judging you for who you are, where you come from and what your financial status is. Dogs, like many other domesticated animals out there, only care about being loved and fed. Just like Paulo Coelho's novel the alchemist, all the sheep cared about was when they would be eating and where they would be finding their next waterhole. Companionship is something of great value then and even today. Treat your pets right and they'll never leave your side let alone turn against you. |
